An opening date has been announced for Maryborough’s first 7-Eleven store, located on Alice St.

The new business will open its doors on January 31, 2023.

New staff have been trained ahead of the opening of the new business.

“The store manager is highly experienced, and she and the assistant store manager have completed most of their training. The store team is being finalised and training is expected to start shortly,” 7-Eleven Australia general manager Fiona Hayes said.

“We expect that our team across the Fraser Coast will continue to grow, and we are excited to be investing in Queensland,” she said.

“Our investment and network growth will provide locals the chance to grow in their careers as we expand. The opportunity is there also for those who might be looking to shift into our industry from other fields.

“The team members we recruit will be provided with extensive training to deliver an excellent customer experience so previous work history in the petrol and convenience industry isn’t a requirement.”

Ms Hayes said the company was proud to be investing in the region.

“Our multimillion-dollar commitment to Queensland will see us open a number of stores in the next few years, including more in the Fraser Coast area,” she said.

“We are continuing to work with landlords and developers to open stores in the right locations to meet the needs of the community.”
