Police are on the hunt for two male offenders after a service station worker was threatened with a machete during a chilling armed robbery in Kirwan.
Police were called to an armed robbery at the Coles Express service station on Thuringowa Drive, Kirwan at 3.15am on Tuesday.
Initial investigations suggest two masked men entered the store and threatened the sole employee working there with a machete while making demands for property.
The pair fled on foot with a quantity of cash and some products from the store.
Senior Sergeant Scott Warrick said police were conducting a search for those offenders with multiple officers and the dog squad in the area.
The two offenders were described as male and possibly teenagers, they were wearing masks and hoodies at the time.
