Police are hunting an armed robber who held up a taxi driver at a Central Queensland service station.

Footage of the robbery at Park Avenue has been released by Rockhampton police in the hope it will help in their investigation.

About 2am Tuesday a 68-year-old taxi driver was refuelling his car at a Richardson Rd service station when he was approached by a man.

The man demanded the taxi driver’s keys, threatening him with a knife before leaving on foot.

The driver sustained a non-life-threatening injury during the incident but did not require hospital treatment.

Rockhampton police are appealing for information after a man was threatened in an armed robbery at Park Avenue in the early hours of October 31.

The man is described as approximately 19, First Nations in appearance, with a slim build and a small plait at the back of his head.

He was wearing a grey long-sleeved shirt, navy cap, black face mask, white Nike sneakers and dark shorts.

Police are asking the man, or anyone who may know him, to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
