Staff threatened with large knife during an attempted Ottoway service station robbery

Police are investigating an attempted robbery after a suspect brandished a large knife and demanded money.
A suspect armed with a knife demanded money from service station staff before fleeing.
Police are investigating the attempted robbery which occurred at about 4.30am on Tuesday, November 28 at a petrol station on Grand Junction Rd Ottoway.
After the suspect demanded money, the staff member backed away from the counter and advised he was calling the police.
Police report the suspect then ran out the store empty-handed and was last seen heading in a northerly direction down Eastern Pde.
The staff member wasn’t physically injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as being about 183cm tall.
He was wearing black Kappa pants, a black hooded jumper with Nike logos on the chest, black Nike shoes, a mask covering his face and black and red gloves.
