Petrol prices are always a hot topic in the run up to the Christmas/New Year break. ACAPMAs CEO Mark McKenzie (B Eng, MBA, GAICD) explores in depth the factors that have led to an almost 50 cent per litre difference in prices in Melbourne at the moment, as well as some common myths and misconceptions that abound around pricing in the lead up to a public holiday (spoiler alert prices don’t actually peak before/on a public holiday, it just feels like they do).

Many thanks to Matt Tilley from Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) Melbourne Breakfast for taking the time to explore the market forces.
