Three teen girls were arrested for allegedly stealing, while in an unrelated incident, two boys were arrested after allegedly using a machete to rob a petrol station.
Three teen girls have been arrested over an alleged theft and assault of a service station worker in the southern suburbs on Sunday night.
Police said the girls – aged 13 to 15 – entered the X Convenience service station on Shearer Drive, Seaford, just after 10pm on Christmas Eve.
The girls allegedly stole items from the shop and one is accused of assaulting a male staff member before the trio tried to flee the scene.
The worker was not seriously injured and patrols were able to quickly find the teens nearby.
The girls, a 15-year-old and a 13-year-old both from Old Noarlunga, and a 13-year-old from Christies Beach, were charged with several offences.
Some of the offences include assault, theft and breach of bail.
They were bailed to appear in court at a later date.
In an unrelated incident on Christmas Day, two boys were arrested after allegedly using a machete to rob a petrol station on Monday.
Police say the boys – aged 14 and 15 – entered a service station on Salisbury Highway, Salisbury about 4am.
One boy was allegedly armed with a machete and police say the pair threatened staff before fleeing with cash on foot.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police say they attended the scene but could not find the boys.
But, after an investigation they attended addresses at Andrews Farm and Williamstown later in the morning and arrested the two boys.
The boys, a 15-year-old from Andrews Farm and a 14-year-old from Williamstown, were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.
Police also found a stolen Mazda in Williamstown that was allegedly used in the robbery, and towed it from the scene for forensic examination.
The Mazda had been reported stolen from a St Georges home on December 19, police said.
Both boys were further charged with illegal use, serious criminal trespass and driving unlicensed.
They were refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Wednesday December 27.
