A search is underway for three unknown men after newly released CCTV footage showed an attempted kidnapping outside a petrol station in Sydney’s north-west.

The victim was able to flee the scene and was uninjured, according to NSW Police.

The unknown men left in the same white vehicle, which was later found burned in Macquarie Fields.

One the men is described to have a Pacific Islander or Maori appearance with a solid build and appears to be bald with a black mullet hairstyle. He was seen wearing a black jacket with a white shirt, black trackpants and black shoes.

The second man is described to have a Pacific Islander or Maori appearance with a medium build. He was wearing a face covering, grey trackpants, a black, grey and white coloured hooded jumper, and white shoes.

The third man was wearing a black balaclava, a black jumper, black pants and white shoes.
