Police are on the hunt for two people who robbed the Puma Service Station at Wyalla Plaza overnight.

Toowoomba Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker said a male offender entered the service about 4.55am on Wednesday, armed with a knife and with their face covered.

“The service station attendant was busy with other duties and was able to secure himself in the office,” he said.

The offender stole the store’s till and an amount of tobacco products before fleeing to a stolen car that was waiting outside, with a driver ready to go.

This vehicle was recovered a short time later.

Meanwhile the two offenders were sighted in a second stolen vehicle, a black Holden Cruz (878 DY8).

“It is still active,” Sgt McCusker said.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the offence, including anyone who sights the stolen Holden Cruz or has dashcam footage of it, to come forward.

Phone Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
