South Australian seniors will now be able to trim 4c off a litre of fuel under new cost of living relief measures.

On Saturday, Health Minister Chris Picton announced new savings in the Seniors Card Discounts and Deals Directory, with offers and discounts available on clothing, fitness, education, retail and more.

A new partnership with United Petroleum will allow seniors card holders who register online for a digital or physical fuel discount card save four cents per litre on their fuel at participating United service stations.

There are 24 United stations across metro Adelaide, and six regional SA sites participating in the offer.

South Australian seniors cards are eligible for anyone aged over 60 and working less than 20 hours per week in paid employment.

Mr Picton said the seniors cards are held by over 400,000 South Australians, helping them to be more active in their communities.

“This partnership with Australian-owned business, United Petroleum, will not only do this, but it will also help to reduce the cost of living for older South Aussies,” he said.

“South Australian Seniors Card holders will also be able to access savings, connect with their community and take part in new activities with the help of the 2024 Discounts & Deals Directory.

“I encourage members to refer to the online or hard copy Directory whenever they are looking for goods and services, as the savings will quickly add up.”
