Police are hunting for a man after an unmarked police car was rammed at a Newcomb service station.

Officers attempted to intercept a white Toyota Corolla, which allegedly had cloned number plates, at a 7-Eleven on the Bellarine Hwy on March 31 at 2.20am.

Cloning number plates involves falsifying a genuine number plate.

Officers activated their car’s lights and sirens before the Corolla allegedly rammed the unmarked car four times and drove off along Coppards Rd.

Police allege three males were inside the vehicle.
