An alleged gunman accused of holding up a rural south coast service station and fleeing with stolen cash and smokes has seen his case hit with a lengthy delay in court days after he was refused bail.
Brodie Seffelarr’s case was mentioned in Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday, nearly two weeks since he was refused bail in online bail court.
The 30-year-old, who is yet to enter pleas, faces charges of robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon, and possessing an unauthorised pistol.
It is alleged Seffelarr held up a Cobargo service station on the Princes Hwy about 9pm on May 5.
Police allege he threatened a female 19-year-old worker with a handgun before stealing cigarettes and cash.
Seffelarr allegedly fled the scene in a car.
The employee was not injured.
He was arrested by officers the next day at a Cobargo property during a raid, where investigators allegedly uncovered and seized a replica pistol, tobacco products and cash.
In court, Local Court Judge Doug Dick said the case was in the wrong facility, noting it should have been adjourned to Bega Local Court.
“It’s not a matter for here,” he said.
Seffelarr’s lawyer Ted Neaves – who was acting on behalf of Styles Law in MacArthur Square – did not oppose a request the case be adjourned for a number of weeks to the coastal court 146km away.
Seffelarr’s case will next be mentioned in Bega Local Court on July 14.
