Two boys allegedly armed with a knife and a baseball bat are accused of assaulting a service station worker before fleeing with stolen cash in Port Adelaide on Friday night.
Western District officers patrolling Grand Junction Road say they spotted two males running from the service station around 10.15pm, with one dropping a baseball bat as they made their hasty escape.
Moments later, police received reports that the service station had just been robbed.
According to police, the pair had entered the business, threatened staff with the weapons, and stolen cash from the till.
The service station attendant was assaulted and sustained minor injuries during the incident, police allege.
Police Dog Edge was called in to track the suspects, locating one teenager hiding in a Wellington Street front yard and the second cowering beneath a car in a nearby alleyway.
A 15-year-old boy from Oakden and a 14-year-old boy from Marino were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. The 14-year-old was also charged with possessing a prohibited weapon.
Both teens were granted bail or remanded to appear in the Port Adelaide Youth Court on November 12.
This incident comes weeks after three men armed with hammers allegedly robbed an OTR on Salisbury Highway in a separate incident.
