Today marks the official launch of the ACAPMA Insurance program, which is being delivered by the Marsh & McLennan Group (www.marsh.com). Available to all fuel industry participants (e.g. fuel haulage, fuel wholesalers, fuel retailers and fuel contracting businesses), this new program aims to offer a range of competitively priced insurance and risk solutions that are designed to meet the unique and evolving needs of the Australian fuel and convenience industry.
The launch of the new ACAPMA Insurance program comes after a review and subsequent conclusion of the long-term relationship with ACAPMA’s previous insurance provider.
ACAPMA Insurance leverages the combined strength of the Marsh & McLennan group of companies – Marsh, Oliver Wyman and Recovre.
Operating at the critical intersection of risk, strategy, and people, ACAPMA Insurance focuses on aligning risk profile to insurance programs and effectively minimising cost without compromising on policy coverage.
ACAPMA CEO, Mark McKenzie shared his confidence in the insurance expertise and skills of the team, especially the valuable role they play in offering advice and arranging insurance solutions to suit the needs of the Australian fuel and convenience industry.
“With more than 130 years of collective experience, the ACAPMA Insurance team will provide access to leading-edge risk and insurance solutions for members and non-members alike”, said Mark.
The ACAPMA Insurance arrangement combines the market leverage and risk expertise of Australia’s largest insurance broker with the detailed industry knowledge of ACAPMA, to deliver competitively priced insurance and risk solutions that are specifically designed to meet the needs of a variety of fuel businesses in Australia.”
The ACAPMA insurance program is strongly placed to deliver superior and comprehensive client service and streamlined processes. From today, members will have access to a comprehensive range of bespoke insurance solutions and risk advisory services, including:
- Enterprise risk assessments
- Cyber risk profiling
- Fraud risk reviews and awareness training
- Workplace health and safety programmes and claims management support
- Development of Business Continuity Plans
- Asset valuations
ACAPMA members will also have access to Return to Work and Workers Compensation solutions available as part of the new insurance program. These solutions offer members and their businesses access to a team of specialised experts that provide tailored programs and industry-leading advice in their field of expertise.
Steve Jones, National Manager – Affinity at Marsh, mentioned how the team had implemented a program that offers a range of services to support businesses throughout all stages of their lifecycle.
“The ACAPMA insurance team will work with you to help identify and assess risks and in collaboration, arrange insurance cover that is developed to meet the evolving risks of the industry” said Steve.
“ACAPMA Insurance’s support does not end there; we will be there for you in the moments that matter, using our robust suite of services, extensive industry knowledge and insights, claims advocacy experience, and relationship with all major insurers to help “drive the future” for ACAPMA members,” Steve added.
The modest revenues for ACAPMA that are generated by the ACAPMA Insurance Programme will be used to strengthen the Association’s 42 year history of continuously advocating the interests of the businesses that comprise the Australian industry – without diminishing the price competitiveness of the insurance products on offer.
“In the end, the real test of ACAPMA Insurance will be its ability to provide fuel businesses with fit-for-purpose insurance offerings that represent better value for money than our competitors”, concluded Mark .
