Supporting Small Businesses in our local community – ‘Go Local First’

As Minister for Small and Family Business, I am pleased to advise that today, the Morrison Government launched a national campaign to support the recovery of Australia’s small businesses from COVID-19 by calling on all Australians to ‘Go Local First’.

The ‘Go Local First’ campaign is funded by the Morrison Government and led by the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA) and urges Australians to ‘Go Local First’ when they are purchasing products and services to help the small business sector get back on its feet.

The ‘Go Local First’ campaign will highlight the vital role of small businesses in our nation’s economic recovery from COVID-19. Australia’s 3.5 million small businesses are the heartbeat of every postcode around the country. When they thrive, communities thrive, and the national economy prospers.

I encourage you to engage with and support the ‘Go Local First’ campaign in your community.

You can register to do this at: https://golocalfirst.com.au/register

Upon registration COSBOA will send you a campaign kit and keep you updated on how you can participate.

You can also find the toolkit by clicking here.

I would encourage you to actively participate in this significant campaign to support the small and family businesses in our local community.

Together, let’s support our local community, get Australia going again, choose small business and support local jobs.

Yours sincerely
