After almost a month of masks being requried almost everywhere Greater Sydney is now in a state of easing. This comes amidst further easing in terms of gatherings. Masks are now only requried in some settings. Retail service stations is not one of those settings, though businesses are strongly encouraged to engage with staff on the issue of masks and allow staff to wear masks if they choose.
Face masks are required in the following indoor settings:
- hair and beauty premises including hairdressers, beauty salons, nail salons, tanning salons and waxing salons
- tattoo parlours
- massage parlours and spas
- gaming areas in licensed premises.
Face masks are also mandatory for all staff in;
- hospitality venues (for staff who have a customer-facing role).
