As State and Federal Governments explore options for balancing public health risks and protection of not just essential but life critical supply chains it should be remembered that fuel wholesale and retail is key to keeping food and emergency supply chains moving and should be included in COVID furlough conversations.

The industry is well staffed and, as essential workers, well practiced at operating in a COVID Safe way, so there is no risk to supply or availability, but appropriate support from State and Federal Governments for contact and testing considerations as the pandemic moves towards the endemic phase is absolutely necessary to ensure it stays that way.

ACAPMAs Mark McKenzie sat down with ABC News today to talk about COVID contact rules and the impact on staffing in the fuel wholesale and retail industry.
