This year’s Asia Pacific Fuel Industry Forum (APFIF25) promises to deliver another high-impact program that brings together Australia’s fuel and convenience leaders, technical experts, suppliers, and stakeholders for three days of strategic discussion, professional development, and invaluable networking.

With a focus on delivering practical insights and future-facing strategies, the 2025 Forum is themed “Success through Synergy”—a deliberate nod to the growing interdependence between the fuel industry and the sectors it serves, including transport, agriculture, resources, and retail.

A Three-Day Industry Experience

The program kicks off on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, with a series of specialist workshops. Among them is the National Contractors Forum, where attendees will debate the proposed ACAPMA National Fuel Industry Retailing Code, a critical initiative for ensuring the sustainability and integrity of the retail fuel market. In parallel, the Ampol National Distributors Association will host a dedicated Fuel Distributors Workshop, open to all fuel wholesalers and distributors. This session will explore the commercial, regulatory, and operational challenges facing the national fuel supply chain.

Alongside these workshops, the C360 Expo opens its doors and runs continuously throughout the event (16–18 September), showcasing the latest products, services, and innovations from across the fuel and convenience ecosystem. This year’s expo is shaping up to be our biggest yet, with strong interest from technology providers, equipment suppliers, compliance service businesses, and retail solutions providers.

The main conference program kicks off on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, featuring the return of the highly popular Keynote Breakfasts. Day 1 will commence with insights from Mr Saul Eslake, one of Australia’s most respected economists, who will provide his signature no-nonsense commentary on the economic headwinds and tailwinds shaping the national and global business environment.

Day 2 will open with Mr Steven Scheeler, former CEO of Facebook ANZ and current CEO of AI trailblazer Omniscient, who will challenge delegates to embrace the disruptive potential of artificial intelligence across their operations and customer offerings.

Both days feature curated plenary and breakout sessions, covering a wide spectrum of issues—from fuel transition pathways and digital payments to workforce challenges and retail transformation. Notably, APFIF 2025 includes two standout Leaders Forums:

  • Day 1: Hear directly from senior executives in road transport, mining, and agriculture, as they candidly discuss the pressure points facing their industries and the evolving role of fuel suppliers in enabling their success.
  • Day 2: A panel of prominent fuel and convenience leaders will share how their organisations are managing overlapping strategic risks across low-carbon mobility, global conflict, domestic inflation, changing fuel standards, and long-term fuel security.

A relaxed social program for business networking

APFIF is not just about formal discussion—it’s also about connection. The Forum’s social program is as important as the formal agenda, offering attendees the chance to network in a relaxed environment. Join us for the BBQ Welcome Dinner on Tuesday evening, mingle at the APFIF Cocktail Function in the C360 Expo Hall on Wednesday, and celebrate the industry’s achievements at the prestigious 2025 Australian Fuel and Convenience Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday night.
