All retailers who are trading in Victoria need to ensure that they are complying with the Fuel Price Reporting (Phase 1) obligations, and from today also complying with the Fuel Price CAP (Phase 2) obligations.
Phase 1 – Fuel Price Reporting obligations
From 26 August 2025 fuel retailers must;
- Ensure that the current price for each fuel product is submitted and displayed in the Servo Saver app (or online portal, or integrated API).
- Ensure that if the fuel price changes onsite it is updated without delay on the Servo Saver app.
Phase 2 – Fuel Price CAP obligations
From commencement on 10 March 2026 fuel retailers must;
- On each day (between 08:30 and 14:00) set a fuel Cap Price for each product that will apply for 24 hours from 06:00 the next day, in the Servo Saver app (or online portal, or integrated API).
- Ensure that fuel price ONLY moves DOWN from that Cap Price. Note multiple moves down are allowed, but the price MAY NOT be moved up, even if such a move would still result in a price that is under the Cap Price.
